SECURITY AND CONFIDENTIALITY
CanRehab will ensure that all candidate information will be held in the strictest confidence. All records and application forms containing personal/confidential information will be stored securely in locked files and/or a password protected database, and will only be accessible to members of CanRehab staff or persons acting on behalf of CanRehab. We will endeavour to protect the information given to us from loss, misuse, unauthorised access or disclosure.
Candidates who give their email address to CanRehab are agreeing to receive communications from CanRehab by email; candidates will be given the opportunity to decline to receive such information on the Course Application Form.
Confidential information held by CanRehab will only be forwarded to a third party if permission has been given by the candidate. Hardcopies of application forms and written assessments will be shredded when no longer required, and kept no longer than 3 years.
REASONABLE ADJUSTMENT AND LEARNING SUPPORT
CanRehab aims to ensure that it supports all candidates and will endeavour where possible to provide reasonable adjustments to the delivery of our qualification to those candidates who inform us of their special requirements. We will endeavour to ensure that these candidates are in no way disadvantaged. Candidates will be able to inform CanRehab of their particular requirements by completing the relevant section on the Course Application Form. CanRehab will then contact the candidate and discuss what reasonable adjustments can be made in order to accommodate their particular need/needs and what practical changes can be put in place to assist their learning experience. The course administrator may ask for proof of difficulty such as an up to date assessment or screening test. Reasonable adjustments may include, but are not limited to:
- Ensuring that the venue has adequate provision for disabled access.
- Providing the candidate manual in a larger type size, different type face or on coloured paper.
- Provision of extra time to complete any written assessment.
- Provision of a scribe to complete any written assessment.
- Provision of the facilities to allow a candidate to have questions read aloud during a written assessment.
Special consideration will also be given to candidates who may have a temporary illness, injury or indisposition at the time of assessment.
Additional Learning Support Policy Policy
CanRehab will provide additional learning support resources in order that each candidate can achieve their highest potential. Additional learning support offered to candidates will include:
- Access to the Course Tutor via email, firstname.lastname@example.org to answer questions/provide guidance particularly in relation to the case study element of the qualification.
- Peer support through a closed Facebook group of the students on the course.
- Supply of a comprehensive reading list to supplement the information provided on the course.
- Provision of video resources used on the course through the CanRehab Learner’s Portal.
